113th Annual Dinner
Annual Dinner - Postponed to 2021
Dear Traffic Club members & friends,
As a result of the impact of COVID-19 and related guidelines on social distancing, the Traffic Club of Chicago has continued to evaluate all of our remaining organized events planned for the year, including our rescheduled Annual Dinner.
TCC’s Board of Directors has reviewed and discussed several options for the upcoming 113th Annual Dinner, which had been scheduled for September 17th, 2020. In doing so, the Board considered many factors, including social distancing guidelines in conjunction with Illinois’s governance on social gatherings of large groups and the possibility of new outbreaks of COVID-19.
After careful consideration, TCC’s Leadership has decided to postpone the 113th Annual Dinner to May 13th, 2021, at the Sheraton Grand Chicago. In 2021,TCC will be partnering with the North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS), who is hosting their Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Grand Chicago from May 12 – 14, 2021.
All registrations for this year’s Annual Dinner will transfer and be credited to the 2021 date. Guestroom reservations at the Sheraton Grand Chicago in the TCC room block will be canceled by the hotel. If you made hotel reservations outside of the TCC Block at the Sheraton or at another hotel in Chicago, please contact the hotel to cancel your reservations.
Annual Dinner Golf Outing Update – The Annual Dinner Golf Outing is still scheduled to take place on September 16th, 2020, at Cog Hill. We will continue to monitor social distancing guidelines and corresponding state rule and to communicate updates accordingly.
In the meantime, know that the Traffic Club is still open and working for you! We are working on creative ways to continue holding educational & networking events virtually to bring value to members.
